We never give, sell or lend your data to third parties, for any reason. There is no advertising, no analytics and no profiling. The data is only used to run the competitions and publish their results.
1. Who processes your data
- The platform: GliderLink (score.gliderlink.net), contact info@gliderlink.net. It is the controller of the organizer accounts. To give support, the platform administrator can see the platform as an organizer sees it, without being able to change their password or security; each access is recorded.
- Each organizer is the controller of its competitions (entries, draw, results). The data of its competitions is not shared with other organizers.
- The details of each pilot are a single record for the whole platform, identified by the email. The organizers of the competitions the pilot takes part in, and those that have the pilot in their list, use them, but only the pilot can change them, with a link sent to the email (my pilot details). An organizer only sees the pilots of its list and can only add another one by knowing the exact email.
2. What we store
- Organizer account: name, email, password (hashed, never stored in plain text), organizer name, country, language, time zone, two-factor authentication if you enable it, and the date you accepted this policy.
- Pilots: first and last name, country, club, FAI ID, FAI and national licences, usual class, email, phone and, if the organizer writes it down, the postal address. Also whether you want to receive emails. A pilot without a valid email is stored marked as an incident until one is added.
- Importing an .mdb file: the organizer opens it in the browser and only the competitions chosen and their pilots are sent.
- Taking part in a competition: entry, start number, team, model, fee and whether it is paid (we store no bank or card details), flights, scores and penalties.
- Timekeepers' app: the data of each flight sent, the name and serial number of the measuring device, the model and the IP address it was sent from.
- Entry by the pilot's QR code: the data of the flight sent, the name the timekeeper types, the IP address, the browser and a randomly generated phone identifier kept on the phone itself.
- Online registration: the email and the data of the form, the language and the IP address, until you confirm the registration.
- Technical data: technical cookies (see the cookie policy), IP addresses in the server logs and the change history of each competition (who changed what and when).
3. Why, and on what legal basis
- Giving organizers access to the platform: the service relationship you accept when you sign up.
- Entering you in a competition, drawing it, scoring it and telling you about your entry: your request to take part in it.
- Publishing the results of public competitions: the legitimate interest of the sport in public standings, as competition rules require.
- Sending you the draw and your flights by email: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Protecting the platform against abuse (limits per IP, server logs): our legitimate interest.
4. What is public
In public competitions anyone can see the name, country, club, start number, team and results of each pilot and, if the organizer chooses it, the licence number. The email, phone and address are never published. When registering with an email that is already on the platform, the name, country, club and FAI ID of that pilot are shown so that the pilot can confirm them; never the contact details.
5. How long
- Organizer account: while it exists. If you ask us to close it, it is deleted with its data.
- Pilots: while they take part in competitions or are in the list of an organizer, or until you ask for them to be deleted. If you have taken part in competitions, your contact details are deleted and only your name remains in the results.
- Competition results: kept as the sporting record.
- Unconfirmed registrations: deleted after 48 hours.
- Server logs: 14 days.
6. Who else sees it
Nobody else. To work, the platform uses a web hosting provider and an email delivery service. They act as processors: they only store or transmit the data to provide that service to us and cannot use it for anything else. This is not a transfer to third parties. We do not use the data for advertising and do not share it with federations, sponsors or any other body.
7. Security
Encrypted connection (HTTPS), hashed passwords, two-factor authentication and strict separation of the data of each organizer.
8. Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, its rectification, erasure, restriction or portability, and object to its processing. Write to the organizer of the competition or to info@gliderlink.net. If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can complain to your data protection authority (in Spain, the AEPD, aepd.es).
9. Minors
A pilot under 14 must be registered by a parent or legal guardian.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we will say so on this page with the date of the last update.
